OVERVIEW

BACCHUS  is a new fashionably designed wearable that monitors alcohol intake making users more aware of their blood alcohol content level. Its direct intended purpose is to help prevent DUIs, alcohol related incidents, deaths due to intoxicated drivers, and become a healthcare diagnostic tool in the fight against Alcoholism.

THE PROBLEM

1 person is killed every 51 minutes in the US due to drunk drivers (27 daily). Fees from deaths and damages related to alcohol related accidents total up to $52B each year. On average 300,000 people drive drunk daily, but only 3,200 are arrested. 1M people were arrested for DUI of alcohol or narcotics in 2019. The national average cost for a first offender for DUI is $10,000.  

OUR SOLUTION

We solve this problem through real-time monitoring and notification of intoxication levels and one-click access to ridesharing and friend messaging via the mobile app.

HOW IT WORKS 

STEP 1

The customer will wear the bracelet on their wrist.

They will begin to consume an alcoholic beverage.

STEP 3 

The bracelet will detect how much ethanol is in the bloodstream as it comes out of the customers' pores as a gas (in real time).

Our application will convert the data to show the customers BAC level.

 

Product Demo

Our product taps into recent trends in wearable health technology. Through new transdermal sensors our product will be discreet, fashionable, and lightweight. Through our smartphone app, customers will be notified when they reach certain intoxication levels.
